Dr. Thomas L. Halton is a graduate of Harvard University with a Doctorate in Nutrition. He also holds Masters Degrees in Human Nutrition and Exercise Science. He passed the Certified Nutrition Specialist Examination offered by the American College of Nutrition. Dr. Halton is also a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist by the State of New York, and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.
Dr. Halton is the founder and owner of Triad Nutrition And Fitness and has 15 years of experience as a nutritionist, personal trainer and weight loss coach. In addition to his work in his own business, he has also worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist at Boston Sports Clubs, Fitcorp, Custom Fitness, and the Sid Jacobson JCC.
Dr. Halton has been published in the nation’s leading journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, The Journal of the American College of Nutrition and The Journal of the American Dietetic Association.
He also teaches courses in research methods and biostatistics to doctoral students at the University of Bridgeport and has served as an adjunct professor at Simmons College, where he taught medical research methods to nutrition and nursing graduate students.
Dr. Halton is the author of The Weight Loss Triad, Life On The Triad and Maximize Your Health. He has worked as a research, medical, and corporate consultant, as a lecturer and as a reviewer for several research journals.
